Event Description
The CA Dept of Fish and Wildlife, Gray Lodge Wildlife Area (Gridley, CA) hosts 1.5-hour public walking tours, every Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 12:30pm.  Known as one of the premier birding spots in northern CA, local experts will lead you on a 1/2-mile stroll, to an elevated viewing deck. Here you will have a bird's-eye view of wildlife.  The guide will inform you of wildlife adaptations, natural history, conservation efforts and help you better identify wildlife.  Self-guided visits are also welcome.  Tours cancel in heavy rain.  No reservations are necessary for groups under twelve people.  Entrance passes may be purchased at licensed agents, such as sporting goods counters, by phone and online: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Licensing/Lands-Pass    For more information, call the Gray Lodge Wildlife Area, Naturalist Office: (530) 846-7505 or visit the website:  https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Lands/Places-to-Visit/Gray-Lodge-WA
