The Super Parents: Caring for Childern with Special Needs Exhibit

A new exhibition chronicling the constant care provided by families for their children with chronic medical conditions. Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Deanne Fitzmanurice shadowed families living in 10 cities throughout California whose children have conditions ranging from type 1 diabetes to neurofibromatosis. The exhibition features her photographs, accompanied by first person descriptions from the "super parents" themselves, documenting a day in the life of their family. On display at the Sutter County Library.

The Scholastic Art Awards Exhibit

The Community Memorial Museum of Sutter County is proud to host The Scholastic Art Awards for a 7 county region in Northern California. Winners move up into the national competition. This exhibit will be on display at Yuba Sutter Arts.

Pushed to the  boiling point, three female co-workers concoct plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy - giving their boss the boot! While the boss remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover and take control the company. 
Set in the late 1970’s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. 

Main Stage performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. 

Tickets are $20 per person. Best to make reservations in advance. Opening Weekend Discounts: $18 for Seniors, Students, and Military Families. Scheduled groups of 6 or more, tickets are $18 per person.

BLS Provider Course Initial or Renewal

This is the new 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). It reinforces skill proficiency with emphasis on high-quality CPR including a team dynamics classroom activity. The video-based course is with real world scenarios. Healthcare professionals learn to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compression's, deliver appropriate ventilation's and provide early use of an AED. Students will participate in these simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations in a classroom setting by working with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing, and  complete a written exam.

Yuba/Sutter county cutest kids contest

This contest goal is to feature all of the beautiful children that make up our Yuba/Sutter counties.  
Children 5 months (must be able to sit by self)- 12 years of age are able to participate.  All ethnicities and backgrounds encouraged to participate.  Residents from Yuba/Sutter counties may participate.  Please pick a date and time through website link that you can come in with your child to get photographed!

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is a classroom-based course designed to meet the 8 hours of EMSA child care training that includes Pediatric First Aid CPR and AED use. This American Heart Association course meets part of the EMSA regulatory requirements for child care workers in the state of California. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course is for those involved in child care that have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This audience includes child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, babysitters and guardians.

Heartsaver First Aid

Heartsaver® First Aid is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid course completion card that is valid for two years.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. In the first aid class, students learn first aid skills in relieving choking in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.  Modules in child CPR, AED use & choking, infant CPR & choking are optional.
