1 Earth Wild & Scenic Film Festival

A CELEBRATION OF OUR ENVIRONMENT!
Join Harmony Health and Yuba College for a night of environmental inspiration as we host the first annual 1 Earth, Wild and Scenic Film Festival On Tour at the Yuba College Theatre on Saturday, April 21st.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a collection of films from the annual festival held the third week of January in Nevada City, CA which is now in its 16th year! Wild & Scenic focuses on films which speak to the environmental concerns and celebrations of our planet. “Films featured at Wild & Scenic showcase frontline activism and stunning cinematography,” says On Tour Manager, Johan Ehde. “Our changing Earth is at the forefront of conversations nationally and globally. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that individuals propel the groundswell of the environmental movement. Collectively, we CAN make a difference!”
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival was started by the watershed advocacy group, the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) in 2003. The festival’s namesake is in celebration of SYRCL’s landmark victory to receive “Wild & Scenic” status for 39 miles of the South Yuba River in 1999. Harmony Health’s “On Tour” evening event, celebrating Earth Day, is an extension of SYRCL’s festival and will feature environmental and adventure films that inspire activism and transport audiences to the farthest reaches of the globe. The festival is a natural extension of Harmony Health’s work to inspire people to act on behalf of the environment. In alignment with our mission to serve as a community-centered provider of services to improve health, education and economic opportunities for individuals and families, this event is intended to build a better understanding of the connection we share with the planet and our role as stewards to keep it healthy for generations to come.

Enjoy fabulous film making, gorgeous cinematography, and wonderful storytelling during an evening that offers films about nature, communities, wildlife, agriculture, environmental justice, and indigenous cultures.
Experience adrenaline-stoking wild river kayaking, the sheer joy of scaling the highest peaks, and incredible treks to beautiful places in the most remote spots on earth. Explore environmental issues and witness activism with individuals and communities all over our planet. Learn more about energy, food systems, biodiversity, climate change, protection and restoration of wild lands and rivers, and many other topics.

1 Earth, Wild and Scenic Film Festival On Tour will raise money to support Harmony Health’s youth group R Spot,
offering experiential learning including organic cooking, arts, crafts, field trips, gardening, Brazilian Jujitsu and more to the most vulnerable youth in our community.

Thank you to our National Partners: Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, CLIF Bar, EarthJustice, Klean Kanteen, Peak Design and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, as well as our Local Sponsors including Yuba College, US Bank, Gengler Law Office, David Crother Insurance, Bank of Feather River, Linda's Laundry, McGee's Annex, MedPro, Sutter Buttes Imaging, Training Zone, Grocery Outlet, Stephen's Farmhouse, New Earth Market, Cookie Tree, Pepsi & more for making this event possible and  helping us invest in our youth and the 1 Earth we are leaving them.
